The Bedtime Book Tag

the bedtime book tag 2

Guess who’s back with another book tag? I am!!! Thank you so much Raven of Dreamy Addictions for tagging me! It took me a long time to get on with this one because I’m quite busy preparing for college since it starts next week, and I have my guidance orientation tomorrow and freshmen orientation on Saturday(okay no one cares), so really I apologize if I haven’t been posting as frequently as before. But I will try my best to keep this blog going, I promise! Now without further ado, on to the questions! ūüôā

Count your age along your bookshelf, what book is it?

I am 15 years old and the 15th book in my library is The One by Kiera Cass. It is the third book in The Selection Series. If you’re looking for a dystopian book with the great light-hearted romance, then this is the right series for you.

Pick a book that is set in your city/state/country.

To be honest, I haven’t read a book which took place on my country, Philippines. Probably because I’m not really interested with our local books.

Pick a book that is set in a city/country you would like to visit.

The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare. It’s a prequel to The Mortal Instruments series and it took place in old London, England. I have always wanted to visit England, especially when it looked very vintage. Reading this series made me want to go more.

Pick a book that is your favorite color.

My favorite color is green and the book that I’ve chosen is Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi. It’s book cover has my favorite shade of green which made me really love it, apart from this really captivating eyes drawn at the cover.

Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

There are lots of books i find have fond memories attached to them but one trilogy that really got me feel every type of emotions was The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare. If you want your heart ripped out and squished on (this sound really brutal but I’m serious) then go read it.

What book did you have the most difficulty reading?

Okay, here’s the part where you judge me(kidding, please don’t).¬†This book has got to be Eleanor and Park. I know that A LOT loves this book but i really found the characters very dull and the plot was very slow so I wasn’t able to finish it.

Which book on your TBR pile will give you the biggest sense of accomplishment when you finish it?

The City of Heavenly Fire which is the last book of The Mortal Instruments Series. I feel like I’m still not prepared to read this one because:

  1. I don’t want to finish the series just yet.
  2. I’m still so in shocked with the whole series that I just can’t bring myself to finish it.

Book Tag: Reading Habits

Question #1: Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

  • Yes, I read at my bedroom most of the time.¬† I like some peace and¬†privacy while I’m reading so I can concentrate.

Question #2: Bookmark or a random piece of paper?

  • Here’s the thing, I usually read e-books so I don’t really have an actual bookmark. But if I do have a hardcopy, I tend to use a printed photo as my bookmark.

Question #3: Can you stop reading anytime you want or do you have to stop at a certain page, chapter, part, etc.?

  • Fun fact: I only read during the night. I don’t read during the day because I feel like there’s so many things to do and distractions around me. While on night time¬† before I sleep, I have nothing to worry about (plus it’s more peaceful). Going back to the question, I only stop reading when I’m sleepy already. But I won’t just put the book down, I’ll have to finish the chapter I’m currently at before I stop.

Question #4: Do you drink or eat while reading?

  • Not really,¬†but a cup of ¬†tea would be nice sometimes.

Question #5: Can you read while listening to music/watching TV?

  • Certainly not. That would be too much of a distraction to me.

Question #6: One book at a time, or several at once?

  • Definitely one book at a time. Several at once would tend to mix everything up in my mind.

Question #7: Reading at home or everywhere?

  • Mostly reading at home so there would be fewer distractions.

Question #8: Reading out loud or silently in your head?

  • Reading silently in my head. In all seriousness, kids are the only ones who read a book out loud LOL.

Question #9: Breaking the spine or keeping it new?

  • Keeping it new. I love keeping them in pristine condition.

Question #10: Do you write in books?

  • No, although a lot likes to highlight their favorite lines on their books, I just can’t bring myself to do them. I like to keep mine looking new.
